Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 17 July 2026

Welcome to Papervine. These Terms and Conditions explain the rules that apply when you browse our website or purchase digital products from us.

By using the Papervine website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Papervine

Papervine is an online digital-products business operated by Jeanette Bacon in Cape Town, South Africa.

Papervine creates and sells printable products, including wall art, bookmarks, Scripture cards, stickers, planners, pattern papers and related digital designs.

Contact details:

Email: support@papervine.co.za
WhatsApp is generally the fastest way to contact us.

2. Digital Products

All products sold on the Papervine website are digital products unless a product page clearly states otherwise.

No physical product, print, frame, sticker, bookmark or other item will be posted or delivered to you.

Product photographs and mockups are used to demonstrate how the finished designs may look. Frames, furniture, stationery and decorative items shown in product images are not included.

3. Product Information

We make every reasonable effort to describe and display our products accurately.

Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen, printer, paper, ink and print settings. These differences are not considered product defects.

Customers are responsible for reading the full product description and checking the supplied format, size, language, theme and number of pages before ordering.

4. Prices and Payments

All prices are displayed in South African rand unless stated otherwise.

Payment must be completed through the payment options available at checkout. Online payments may be processed through Yoco or another secure third-party payment provider.

Papervine does not control the availability or operation of third-party payment services. Payment information is handled according to the payment provider’s own security and privacy policies.

An order is only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.

5. Instant Digital Delivery

Digital files are normally made available immediately after successful payment.

Customers may receive access through:

  • A download link displayed after checkout
  • An order-confirmation email
  • Their Papervine customer account, where applicable

Delivery may occasionally be delayed because of internet interruptions, incorrect email addresses, payment-processing delays or technical problems.

Customers should contact support@papervine.co.za or use the website’s WhatsApp contact option when a download does not arrive.

6. Customer Information

Customers are responsible for providing a correct email address and accurate order information.

Papervine is not responsible for delays caused by an incorrect or inaccessible email address supplied during checkout. We will, however, assist with locating and resending confirmed orders.

Customers are responsible for downloading and safely storing their purchased files.

7. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Due to the instant and digital nature of Papervine products, change-of-mind refunds are not generally offered once a file has been delivered, accessed or downloaded.

This does not remove any rights that a customer may have under applicable South African consumer law.

Refunds will not normally be provided because:

  • The customer changed their mind
  • The customer did not read the product description
  • The customer expected a physical product
  • The customer does not have suitable software, a printer or printing equipment
  • The customer selected the wrong theme, language, size or product
  • Printed colours differ slightly from the colours displayed on a screen

8. Faulty, Incorrect or Missing Files

Please contact Papervine when a purchased file:

  • Cannot be opened
  • Is damaged or incomplete
  • Is materially different from the product ordered
  • Is missing from the order
  • Contains a confirmed design or file error

Papervine will first attempt to correct, replace or resend the file at no additional charge.

Where the problem cannot reasonably be corrected or the purchased product cannot be supplied, the matter will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.

9. Duplicate Purchases

Customers should check their cart and previous orders before completing payment.

Where the same product is accidentally purchased more than once, Papervine will normally provide a discount code toward a future purchase instead of a cash refund.

Duplicate orders will be reviewed individually, and this policy remains subject to any rights or remedies required by law.

10. Personal-Use Licence

Unless a product page specifically states otherwise, every purchase includes a personal-use licence.

Customers may:

  • Download the purchased files
  • Print the designs more than once for their own personal use
  • Use printed products in their own home, Bible, journal, planner or workspace
  • Give a reasonable number of finished printed items as personal gifts

The purchase does not transfer ownership or copyright in the artwork to the customer.

11. Prohibited Uses

Customers may not:

  • Share, email or distribute the digital files
  • Upload the files to shared drives, groups, websites or social-media platforms
  • Resell the digital files
  • Sell printed versions of the designs
  • Use the designs for commercial products or business branding
  • Alter the designs and claim them as their own
  • Include the files in another digital product, bundle or membership
  • Use the artwork for print-on-demand products
  • Remove Papervine copyright information for resale or redistribution

A separate commercial licence must be obtained where Papervine specifically offers one.

12. Intellectual Property

All Papervine designs, product images, written descriptions, branding, layouts and digital files remain the intellectual property of Papervine or their respective lawful owners.

Unauthorised copying, sharing, commercial use, redistribution or resale is prohibited.

Any Bible translation notices or third-party licensing terms displayed on a product or included with a download must also be respected.

13. Website Use

Customers may use the Papervine website only for lawful personal shopping and browsing.

Users may not:

  • Attempt to interfere with the website
  • Access restricted areas without permission
  • Upload harmful software or code
  • Use automated tools to copy website content
  • Misuse discount codes, payment systems or customer accounts
  • Commit fraud or provide false payment information

Papervine may restrict or cancel access where the website or purchasing process is being misused.

14. Discount Codes and Promotions

Discount codes must be used according to the conditions stated with each offer.

Unless stated otherwise:

  • Only one discount code may be used per order
  • Codes cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Codes cannot be applied after an order is completed
  • Codes may have expiry dates or product restrictions
  • Papervine may withdraw a promotion that was published in error

15. Website Availability

Papervine aims to keep the website and download system available and working correctly.

Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, hosting problems, internet outages, security updates or third-party service failures.

Where an order has been paid for but the automatic download system fails, Papervine will assist by resending the purchased files.

16. Limitation of Responsibility

Papervine is not responsible for losses caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including internet failures, incompatible software, printer problems, third-party payment interruptions or incorrect information supplied by the customer.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

17. Privacy

Personal information submitted through the website is handled according to the Papervine Privacy Policy and applicable South African data-protection requirements.

Customer information may be shared with necessary service providers, such as website hosting, email, payment and order-delivery providers, only where reasonably required to operate the website and complete orders.

18. Changes to These Terms

Papervine may update these Terms and Conditions when the website, products, payment services or legal requirements change.

The updated version will be published on the website together with its revised date. The terms that applied when an order was placed will continue to govern that order.

19. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

The parties should first attempt to resolve any concern by contacting Papervine directly and allowing a reasonable opportunity for the matter to be investigated and corrected.
